What was one of your most difficult moments in ministry or most challenging times or things you dealt with in ministry:
The most challenging time in ministry for me, is when I knew I was doing the will of God and yet meeting opposition. As a young leader facing this you learn to lean on His unchanging promises, and begin to watch God do extraordinary things through the rough trial that your going through. I count it a privilege to suffer for the cause of Christ! (1 Thess. 3:3)
What was one of your greatest experiences or victories with God or in ministry:
I think of two things in my life that I would count as great victories for the cause of Christ. One of my greatest experiences would have to be winning hundreds to Christ in India by myself and also seeing thousands come to Christ through the work and ministry of my church.
The second greatest victory would have to be when people you have lead, become themselves leaders & ministers for the cause of Christ!!
What is one of the best things someone has said to or about you:
Someone told me “that it was very evident I had a God honoring ministry!” No greater thing can someone be told than that!!
What is something that most people don’t know about you:
I wanted to be a Texas Game Warden!!

Current areas of ministry: Student Ministries Director, Music Ministry.
Education: Arlington Baptist College (Youth Ministry)
Current Line of Work: I have been working with students under various job titles at the YMCA since 2007.
Recreational activities/Hobbies: Spending time with my wife and family, hanging out with our awesome youth group, playing music (through an iProduct or by way of piano), taking our dog (Lincoln) to the dog park, and playing/making-a-fool-of-myself on our XBox Kinect.
Favorite vacation spot: There are some gardens in Halifax, Canada that my wife and I wandered into that were spectacularly peaceful.
Favorite place you’ve been in the world: The sand dunes in Colorado and the treehouse at my grandparents’ house.
Favorite Sport: Texas Baseball!
Favorite Season: Fall (specifically, September; more specifically, September 4).
Favorite Book of the Bible/Verse: 2 Samuel 22:33 and all that surrounds it.
Dream vacation destination: Assuming that we’re dreaming and that not all is realistic – Alaska in December with the weather of Hawaii in Spring and the castles/greenery of Scotland, surrounded by the Great Barrier Reef.
Favorite time of day: I am part of the 43% in my age demographic who label themselves as “morning people.”
Countries you have been to on the mission field: Mexico, USA, and soon, India.
What was one of your most difficult moments or most challenging times in ministry: Seeing students make decisions that are going to negatively impact the rest of their lives will always be one of the greatest challenges in youth ministry. It is so sweet, however, to see God work through that same student’s life (regardless of their past) and make them become a person completely dedicated to the Lord.
What was one of your greatest experiences or victories with God: Fully surrendering to God’s will in my life – but that victory belongs to Him, not me.
What is one of the best things someone has said to or about you: I first realized that God could use me in an impactful way when a student I was working with revealed to me his past in gangs and the activities surrounding that lifestyle. He told me that everyone before had been afraid of him to the point that they never told him about Christ, that is, until our conversation. Hearing him accept Jesus as his Savior that night was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I also had a professor in college tell me that I had a “radio voice”. I’m still pondering what he meant by that.
What is something that most people don’t know about you: I physically cannot see 3D movies, and I am quite skilled in the art of LEGO construction.
Which states have you lived in: California & Texas.
Favorite food type: I like food.

What was one of your most difficult moments in ministry or most challenging times or things you dealt with in ministry: I get frustrated when people have so much to give to the ministry, either through finance, time, talents, and they do not use those talents to further the kingdom. Many times it weighs on me, especially when those people are looking for Gods’ direction in their life, but are unwilling to use their talents He has given them.
Secondly would be balancing my time between ministry and life away from church.

What was one of your most difficult moments most challenging times in ministry: When my husband was diagnosed with ALS. That was 21 years ago. The doctors told us to go home and prepare for him to pass. He forgot to factor in God’s plan.
What was one of your greatest experiences or victories with God: The most exciting victory in the ministry is to win the lost. Watching someone understand they are lost and how to become saved. The unique experience of going to India and having them understand how to be saved is truly victorious. The young people are learning English and enjoy your speaking to them in English. However, their English and our Texan English is not always the same. When I began to explain the plan of salvation to them we had to speak slow and in very simple English words. The question that came across my mind was “do they get what I am saying?” They do not indicate any expression of understanding when you teach them. It was time for the invitation, I prayed that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and that they would have the boldness to come forward if they wanted to be saved. The whole room moved forward. I turned to the Indian workers and they said to me “they do not understand what you said”. Immediately the Holy Spirit said to me, “oh yes they do”. I continued through the sinners prayer with them and asked them it they really understood what they had just done. Without exception they answered with a resounding “yes we do we are saved and on our way to heaven”. We saw this same situation carried out several times on our last trip to India. What a glorious victory and a great experience for us to speak to someone that knows very little English, and for them to understand enough to be saved. There is no way to explain it, but God did it.
What is one of the best things someone has said to or about you: When someone says, “thank you for teaching me a truth from the Bible”.
What is something that most people don’t know about you: I was an only child and all my family has already passed on.
Which states have you lived in: I’m a proud Texan and only lived here.
Favorite food type: Chicken fried steak with all the fixin’s.
