Areas of Ministry: Ministering the Word of God

Family: Wife Susan, Two boys: Andrew and Jack.

How and when you got saved: I was saved as a young boy at 5 years of age.  My father was preaching and my mother was working the altar. I owe them a great debt of gratitude for their faithfulness. I have been saved for more than 35 years!

Education: I did my undergraduate work at Louisiana Baptist Seminary and my post-graduate work at Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary. I have earned a Doctorate in Ministry, another in Theology, and a Doctor of Philosophy. My greatest education has been daily in the Word and in the Work of the Lord during a lifetime of service.

Previous Lines of Work: I am a diamond grader by trade. My first career spanned 10 years in the corporate headquarters of the Zale Corporation.

Life Verse: Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Favorite Book: I read two or three books a week. Obviously, the majority of my reading is the Bible or centers on the Bible. Much of my preparation involves historical research from men like Gibbon, Herodotus, and Josephus. For an escape, I enjoy secular works that have lots of action and adventure from authors like Cussler, DuBrul, Clancy, Demille, Flynn, Thor, and Silva.

Favorite Place in the World: During my secular career I travelled extensively within the United States. As Pastor of CBC, I have done a substantial amount of international travel. I have preached the gospel in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. My favorite place in the world is anywhere there are hearts eager to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have especially enjoyed my time in Israel, Italy, and India. Maybe I am partial to countries beginning in "I".

Life Motto: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me!

Your Hero: Men like Rayburn Blair and Ed Reeves who are patriots, war heros, and preachers of the gospel.

Favorite Food:
I love all Mexican food (sans the menudo): holy guacamole batman!

Best thing anyone said to you: Dress British...Think Yiddish!
