Certain Hope

“‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I hope in Him!’ The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
Lamentations 3:24-26

When we take a look around our world these days, it seems as if there are more and more reasons to lose all hope. We watch as tragic events take place in our lives, the lives of loved ones, and complete strangers alike. We wonder when there will be a respite for those who suffer. We use words that are meant to bring encouragement and hope that everything will be alright and life will get back to normal soon, but too often we fail to offer what is needed most.

Our Father in Heaven never meant for us to go through times like this without hope! He wants us to trust Him – to place our hope in Him! When we seek His face in times of despair and disappointment, He wraps His reassuring arms around us and provides comfort and hope like none other. Our Creator, the one who cares for us the most, wants us to have the hope that He promised for our future! (Jeremiah 29:11) We must only seek Him with all our heart! (Jeremiah 29:13)

We can know for certain that there is hope when we keep our eyes on Him and place our complete trust in a Heavenly Father who has our best interest in mind! “Great and Mighty, is the Lord our God, Great and Mighty is He!”

Thank You Lord for sustaining me and reminding me that You are faithful. Thank You for the confidence that You will never leave me or forsake me. Thank You for the struggles You’ve used to strengthen my faith and for all that You have in store. Prepare me, Lord, to walk boldly and claim Your promises. Amen.
