Hope in the Lord

“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I hope in Him!’”
Lamentations 3:22-24

There have been times in my life where I have felt lonely and abandoned with a heavy heart; maybe even questioning why God had brought me to a specific situation. In those times, I often try to make sense of people and situations and why they did not work out. I try to understand why the situation turned out like it did, but I always come back to the same place…

My hope has to be in The LORD!

I can’t rely on my own understanding, but instead I have to focus on the hope that God has for me through that situation. He provides me undeserved mercy and grace. He lifts me up far beyond what I can imagine. My hope is in Him as He continually fills me up with love, peace, protection, encouragement, comfort and everlasting hope because I know His promises are true! He is always faithful! Instead of feeling lonely and abandoned, I can now find hope and take comfort in the presence of my Savior.

Dear Father, thank You for the promises You have given to me! My hope is in You. As You have shown me time and time again, You will never leave me nor forsake me. Amen.
